One sec, I thought the battle pass you get is only good for 3 months? That's my understanding since thats how it works for OW2. I much prefer the Destiny method where i can straight up buy it for an entire year, a season pass for battle passes.

It's possible I may have misunderstood it as I've literally avoided games with battle passes as they are typically pay to win, so was under the assumption a battle pass lasted a year and wasn't quarterly.
