I was really trying to get to 100 incase a new update put out WT5, but I'm 93 and lost complete interest.

As others mentioned, the NM dungeon affixes as well as the level scaling make the entire experience into a chore.

May be time for me to look into PoE.

Yeah I have a buddy who plays PoE and i'm super tempted by it now. I hope that S2+ of D4 actually has worthwhile shit to it but even still it's Blizzard and I can't even bank on that.

There's always Grim Dawn, which is currently only like 35 bucks for the game + all the DLC

I played a ton of POE when it first came out its much more complex but way more versatile and it is very grindy as they all are, I am holding out until POE 2 which looks amazing. Diablo 4 is much more casual.

no other ARPG comes close to the breadth of content that PoE has at endgame. A new player will probably spend a couple of leagues working up through the pinnacle bosses

i've always loved Diablo PvP but yes it, by design, isn't fair, isn't competitive, isn't prioritized, it is and has always been a shitshow at the fuck factory filled with anarchy, schadenfreude, and the dark laughter of thirsting gods

it ended up being interesting enough. complete shitshow but people have the option of behaving themselves. there were good times grinding with randos and bad times being ganked by randos but in the end we did it, I have the mount, and I'm not touching that shit again for a nice long while

Which is why I'm glad I went there at launch, L25 and didn't leave until around L45ish and ground out the mount and a barding, with a decent chunk left over. Almost nary a soul there.

Apparently the update made it too easy for the Uber uniques to drop from helltide chests so now they've disabled them from dropping entirely.

When season launches, stay on Eternal Realm and grind some out; most will have left to go do the Season. Or, go there early season start and grind some out as those two options will likely be your best bet now. If the game didn't let me purchase an extra horse and lose 100K shards, I might do the same but I can get the one other barding that interests me, and the PvP armor is atrociously hideous looking, so I'm just holding on to my extra in case something ever changes.

Honestly, the horse armor with the orange glow is all I really wanted from PvP and I just sucked it up and ground it out while being farmed by level 100 players. Wasn't really fun, but it's not like NM dungeons are much better...

With the above change, we have re-enabled Uber Unique drops in Diablo IV. In total we have discovered that only 142 accounts obtained an Uber Unique between the launch of 1.0.4 and when we disabled Uber Unique items from the game on the evening of July 6th. We do not plan on removing these items from the accounts. In the future, we may need to take action to maintain fairness within the game when a bug or exploit impacts the gameplay of others.

142 drops SINCE LAUNCH OF THE PATCH with a short period of increased rates and Blizzard is still pissing their pants angry and considered taking them away from people and also might in the future? For a bug that isn't detectable and isn't the players' fault at all?

It's a "We reserve the right" post and fixing a bug that only Sorc and Barbs could take advantage of and wasn't intended. I don't understand the bitching about this specific instance but do agree drop rates are stupid. None of these are Mageblood equivalent and at best are "cool" to have, sans Shako, which is just busted in the context of the current game and is the only one that should be near that rarity.

I would be fine if there was like a Shako (rare drop rate, but achievable) and a Shako+1 type uber-Unique deal that has a bit better stats and a glow or something. Ultra, ultra rare things are cool but yeah...their current implementation here is trash.

It's also problematic that while not necessary, Shako is the undisputed BiS for damn near every single class except for basically were-druids.
