Knee jerk reactions in my Blizzard game? pfft w/e you say buddy!

Glad they did it though haha, though sorcs were literally lagging out the game but for first time since S2 they had an amazing build and actually had a few builds that were viable. Fireball was way way more fun then CL sorc

Killed uber Greg lvl200 with a lvl90 hydra sorc. It took me 6 trys but I got him.
Sorc is very console friendly compared to some of the other classes that have builds that are difficult to play on console.

Is there any chance saving my page of Goblin lootbags for later is worth it as a way to grab new uniques, or is it going to take too long before they are available on the Eternal realm?

The lot isn't picked until you open the bags so it should work. That said, you are the first person I've talked to who even plays on eternal.

I don't want to have to make a new character every season, I want to work towards completing one character. It's my attempt to scratch the MMO itch, which IMO is fundamentally about the drive to perfect a character But it's like modern MMOs where you are battling the RNG and not people, so it's not nearly as satisfying.

So I'm at max armor and max resistances and 50% damage resistance with 17k life and a full barrier up... and I'm still getting one-shot by this level 89 nightmare dungeon boss' auto attacks. Is it supposed to be this way like a Souls game where they is zero room for error?

Also super disappointing whenever a 2 GA piece drops and the GA's are like life and energy per second only.

You should max resistance as soon as possible and then get more hp after that, other than that maybe your build is lacking in some mitigation?

If you are under 20k life you need to have some kind of barrier active most of the time. Most popular builds have this somewhere and then have more %damage downw/ barrier on their board.

Otherwise, you will need to start shifting your focus to max health to give that buffer.

Doing T8's on my LS sorc, if I let my ice shield drop for more than a few seconds I will get one shotted, or if I step in a puddle of acid or something will drop dead in less than a second. That is with max armor, 82.5% to all ele, and 23k health.

I know the gamePLAY isn't everyone's cup of tea, but did you ever try EVE Online? Sov stuff and w-space have the capability to allow you to deny people things.

You can complete a character in a given season. Even this season which was shorter I was able to max out 2 characters beyond just pushing Pit or something to absurd levels but it's a Blizz game so scaling at some point becomes "Hope you like one shots!" which doesn't work in a game like this because yeah it's not Dark Souls. Dodging in this game even at the exact right time can still end up with you dead because of bullshit latency or enemy attacks

They’ve made it much easier to get Ubers, allowing you to target farm efficiently by discarding four you don’t need. This makes it pretty straightforward to nearly max out a character. Normally, it takes me about 2-3 weeks to reach the min/max stage, where I typically lose interest. But with the recent changes, I find myself leveling 2-3 characters per season instead of just one.

On top of that, with Ubers being usable at level 35, you can power-level a character to max in under a day once you’ve collected 4-5 Ubers. Meaning you skip the shitty part even without help.

I really wish they’d provide more incentive to tackle higher-level content. Dropping down to lower-level areas like pits, because there’s no real benefit in doing higher-tier stuff, is one of the main reasons I lose interest.

For example, once you reach pet level 120+, all drops could be at least single GA or better, with an increased chance for 2-3 GA. At 150+, 2 GA could become the baseline, with an even higher chance for 3 GA drops. This is just a simplified example to illustrate my point.

Yea I tried EVE, the problem was that I didn't like the gameplay. Principles of end game design with guilds working as cabals and zero-sum competition was everything I wanted.

Eh well I took a few days to complete the story first time around, doing lots of dungeons inbetween. If it's really that easy to max later on, I guess once I'll just quit once I max this character.

I'm following a build (or I adapted something close to it) and can now solo the Blood Maiden pretty easily, but ran into this dying instantly to NMD bosses issue trying to grind all my glyphs to max. And the fact there is no damage log so I can't even tell what I'm dying to and why it hurts so much is frustrating.

So if there any like baseline way to evaluate the metrics I should meet before trying to join a T7 horde group? Like even with level 21 glyphs and basing my build on a "Tier S" guide, without a damage log it's kind of hard to tell how I'm doing.

It is so easy to get T7 mats, just go do one solo. I'm not a fan of group play in D4 unless it is for Torment farming, because it doesn't make it easier but normally harder. There is always a leech that isn't doing much and everyone has to make up for that.

I got destroyed. I'm getting hit by CC's randomly and killed instantly. Can't tell which CC's they are or who are doing them because there's no damage log.
