Still cracks me up that they have a season pass with no currency rewards. I haven't bought a single season pass with cash in APEX after the first, because you always get enough currency to buy the next one (and then some). Screw that noise, Blizzard.

Make the players beg for it that miss the future heroes in the season pass. Allow them to buy skips with a big charge later on to make that money back.

At least they didn't throw all sorts of bullshit like diabo immortal did

We have made the decision to remove phone number requirements for a majority of existing Overwatch players. Any Overwatch player with a connected Battle.net account, which includes all players who have played since June 9, 2021, will not have to provide a phone number to play. We are working to make this change and expect it to go live on Friday, October 7. We will update players once it is in effect.

I mean, they all have FOMO, but its hilarious that they're all about copying all the other F2P models in this genre and yet they miss that crucial aspect. I remember when Destiny 2 tried that shit and the players bitched until they changed it.

They had a really popular carrier in my area (cricket) that couldn't play at all because it's considered prepaid for some reason when afaik it isn't. I just swapped last year or I'd have been fucked too. I don't like smurfs, but I didn't like that either.

Destiny 2 has never had premium currency in the pass, you have to spend actual money on every pass.

Although, you're more paying for seasonal content (new activities, storyline, etc) and the pass is a bonus on top of that.

This is what I originally thought, but I guess they changed it at some point. Proof is in the pudding, cause she is locked for me unless it's a bug.

I tried again last night and I'm in the same boat. I'm not touching it until they fix it and I have all my cosmetics unlocked.

It really is hard to fathom, but they went and turned this AAA paid game into a poorly managed F2P and slapped a "2" on the end of the name to pretend it's a new game. Just...wow. I'll still eat the shit up cause I'm grandfathered in but wow...def not spending a cent on this.

Patch last night, made it so the game recognizes that I played OW1 and have gamemodes unlocked..

..but still no cosmetics >.>;

Every single match I join sucks cause most don't use mics or any form of call out. Find a group was the only reason I played this game for as long as I did, and without it even the small group of people I play with won't want to deal with the hassle. Game is DoA cause they made it F2P but also harder to play so whatevs I'm not launching this thing until some replacement for the feature is implemented.

Like seriously, imagine FFXI without /search...wtf was blizzard thinking?
