Just got back from it.

There were certain parts that I really liked about it but the movie is a hot mess. I guess I was entertained overall, which seems like a contradiction of what I just said, but I suppose my inner child just likes seeing all the dinosaurs.

Don't go see it in IMAX. I can't emphasize this enough.

The last one was incredible, as long as you went into the movie knowing it would be bad. A fucking raptor winked at the camera before it bit a dudes face off. The Room levels of bad at some points.

Is the new one that kind of bad? Or just boring bad?

As a stand-alone movie, it was OK.

As a JP, it sucked.

Half the fucking movie (and most of the interaction with the original cast) was over fucking genetically engineered locusts. What?

JP is supposed to be about fucking dinosaurs, with genetic engineering there as a path to reach/explain it. But now these movies are just about genetic engineering and trying to preach shit, and, oh, I guess this is supposed to be about dinosaurs so let's throw some in there.

How would you guys say it is when compared to Jurassic Park III?

I remember when I saw III back then I thought it was decent enough, and last I checked III for the longest was considered to be the weakest of the series.

This held true. Saw it last night. Absolute shit movie that I had a blast watching. Laughed out loud at least 6 or 7 times lol
