I think Jake Hager still undefeated in Bellator even though he definitely should have been DQ for a low blow in one fight

I think Dave Batista went 1-0 in mma and called it a day and decided to be Drax

2019 NFL Week Spam: The New Thread

The Almighty Bobby Lashley had a pretty respectable MMA career.

Kurt Angle probably could’ve been a champion in the early to mid 2000s.

Yeah, people dunk on C.M. Punk but dude was like 42 when he first got into the ring and started training late. Those who took it seriously and started training in their late 20's/early 30's and made the jump and have done well. Matt Riddle is another one, though he was MMA before wrestling and quit because he was tired of losing matches cause he'd rather smoke a blunt.

What big names in wrestlign went on and got tooled? I don't follow MMA extensively, but the only one I know who really got his face caved in is Punk. Found this list here of specific WWE wrestlers who went in and really not seeing who failed that also wasn't a failure in WWE, or Punk who was just way too old to do it.

And then there's Japan, in part due to Anotnio Inoki's obsession with MMA, a lot of japanese wrestlers in the late 90's got involved to varying degree's of success.

    i mean

by that list itself Lesnar is the only one to have a successful career

most other pro wrestlers like Lashley or whomever ate bad stoppage losses to mediocre fighters (Lesnar ate a buncha bad stoppages too but at least they were to elite fighters)

Ehh, I wouldn't go as far as being a wash out for all of them. Lashley I think if he stuck with it would have been fine. Guess we can skip Shamrock as he spent his prime in wrestling, went back to MMA, then back to wrestling again.

In Batista’s case, it was always a one and done for him because he said it was just a bucket list thing to check off. He never had any intention to make it a career.

Dude had a several year career with WWE, and essentially carried TNA Impact on his back in the very early days when it nearly died out. If he chose to stay with that over MMA, he would have gone far. Hell, The Rock was the one to induct him into TNA Impacts Hall of Fame just a couple months ago.

Alberto Del Rio's shining achievement in MMA was getting murdered by CroCop while wearing a lucha mask
