i am now looking at a list of “best movie musicals” and will also say i enjoy mary poppins and and the music man and would rather watch them 100 times, which i probably already have since my mom loves those movies, instead of hamilton

i have seen live productions of both les mis and phantom (among others, my parents like musicals), and still feel they are generally meh

Unrelated I saw the music video of "You Can Call Me Al" for the first time this week (definitely knew the song, but my parents didn't let me watch MTV as a kid, so I didn't see a lot of music videos of songs back in the day), and it just kinda makes me sad Chevy Chase is such a dick.
