I am in management yeah- unfortunately for this business there is no streamlined training process and it involves handling concentrated chemicals so the people are "hard" to replace especially when most of the applicants we get I wouldnt trust to clean a bathroom

that's led to the floor supervisor being afraid to say anything to people for fear of them overreacting and quitting since they've been allowed to do whatever the fuck they want forever

the worst offender is a very sensitive guy

its a huge productivity issue at this point, the ones that spend all day chatting have made it so they have to come in an hour earlier than 80% of the others so that they can leave early to pick up their teenage kids from school 3 days a week lel so the floor supervisor is bending over backwards to accommodate them already when they really arent producing anything with the extra time they're being given

This is my situation. Same at my last job. That's why I keep earbuds with me just in case it gets too loud. Old company was TERRIBLE around 2pm. That's usually when people started yelling back and forth at each other rather than just walking over to someone else to talk to them.
