Bought our plane tickets to CA yesterday and now we may have to get the REAL IDs? I didn't think it went into effect until October, but I was reading what you needed to get on the plane and they listed either an enhanced DHS approved license or a REAL ID, passport, etc. My passport is expired and my license says "not for Federal purposes" so I think I'm fucked. Stupid cause I got it renewed in the last 2 years.

Think we got a good deal for plan tickets. $1100 for roundtrip, EWR to SFO, LAX to EWR. Checked bags are extra, but I got the standard economy so we can have 3 carry ons plus personal. Gonna try to cram as much as we can into those and maybe just check one bag if needed. We'll have a washer/dryer at the first place we're staying so I plan to pack light and do a load of laundry before we leave.

I'm already looking at where we can hit up a dispensary in the area. My wife hasn't been to one before, other than the cafes in Amsterdam which are different. The ones in MA are shit compared to the ones out west.

Astylla and I fly often, and it's October. I think it's more to spur California residents cause our DMV's suck ass. Last year when I had to renew, I decided to get my real id shit done and I had to book out almost two months in advance.

The super fail is they weren't doing the proof of residence part correctly so they had to mail everyone a form to fill out to finish the requirements.

Then again, this is the same DMV that put a typo in Astylla's middle name and it never got caught till TSA was doing her background check before she could start her current job.
