The Philippines' President Rodrigo Duterte has announced his intent to ban eCigs & Vaping products. He has called upon the nation's police force to arrest anyone seen using the products.

The Philippines' Department of Health announced Friday a 16-year-old girl was hospitalized in late October, requiring intensive care. The teenager was later diagnosed with e-cigarette-associated lung injury or EVALI.

In response, Duterte said he would immediately order a ban on e-cigarettes and ordered authorities to arrest people caught using them.

Duterte likened vaping to the use of cigarettes and tobacco. Earlier this year, Duterte — a former smoker himself — said that cigarette users "should be exterminated."

I think vaping as a means to get off cigarettes is great, but that's unfortunately not how everything is being marketed or used at this point.

Yes, I started drinking coffee recently. We've had this discussion at least twice so I won't go into it too much further cause I know we disagree on the topic. Nicotine is a physically addictive substance, caffeine is not. They are two different things.

I guess I drink sours and beers that may have fruit flavors, but I don't actually drink flavored liquors. Again, alcohol is not physically addictive.
