Look it up.
They are not physically addictive. That's a fact. Weed is also not physically addictive. You could become dependent on them on a psychological level where you are addicted to them, but the chemical compounds of alcohol, caffeine, THC, CBD, etc. are not themselves addictive. Nicotine, however, is.
I won't argue that people do not become addicted to caffeine, weed, or alcohol. My mom was an alcoholic and I know very well what an alcoholic goes through. That doesn't make alcohol a physically addictive substance.
This may actually be part of the issue with cigarettes, vaping, etc. People may not know what nicotine actually does to your body. Yes, it has similar effects to caffeine as far as a stimulant, but the chemical compound of nicotine effects your body in a way other substances don't and immediately creates a physical addiction.
I started drinking white claw and truly instead of malt liquor and whiskey. I’m a lot healthier for it.![]()
It’s gluten free.
i don't know why you are splitting hairs so much on physical vs mental addiction, it's end result is the same, also i'm almost positive you can become physically addictive to alcohol for sure and I could probably argue caffeine as well.
i've kicked my physical addiction to nicotine, haven't had nicotine in 3-4 months, mental addiction to weed however.... I spend 600 dollars a month and smoke 24/7 so
as an addict,
Alcohol and caffeine are physically addictive, there's a reason why cold turkey alcoholics get ill and people get headaches without caffeine.
The difference is that nicotine is far more addictive than either, and maintaining a nicotine addiction is much more expensive and inconvenient than maintaining a caffeine addiction.
I really don't care if wine coolers and fireball are banned either lol

What about boxed wine, Archibald?
Ok so I fucked up the alcohol part, but there ya go.
Also "splitting hairs" is pushing it when one has effects that are immediate. I quit weed cold turkey when I graduated college so I could pass a drug test and had zero withdrawal symptoms. I smoked every day at least twice a day. It's exponentially more difficult to do that with cigarettes (nicotine).
Honestly I'm with Day on this
Stop telling people over 18 wtf to do about nicotine when you're still gonna have alcohol legalized. I've never smoked a cig in my life, have no desire to, and think they're disgusting as shit but god damn.
Alcohol, whether the same level of addiction or not, is far more destructive to your life and the lives of those around you when used to excess.
Xno: Hope you manage to get back on the recovery wagon my man. Rooting for you.
It's banned from pretty much every public place in any state that isn't stuck in the 1800s. People are largely more conscious about the effects on children of smoking around them. And you're never going to get kids under 18 who want to smoke to not smoke.
How fucking easy was it to get weed when you were like 13? There was effectively zero barrier at any time and that shit was illegal. Holy fuck just leave it alone.
If anyone wants to say that it was hard getting weed if you wanted it the only response is that you're a loser who had no friends honestly
Think second-hand cancer is bad from being around parents who smoke?
Try living with actual alcoholics for a month. I'll be here waiting for that instant heel-turn. There's at least 2 people in this thread who know exactly what I'm talking about.
I'd rather have cancer at 50 than that shit, thanks.
I got weed at 14 in the middle of bum fucked no where VA like it was asking for directions
My issue with vaping is the flavored cartridges and the way they're marketed. You have more kids taking up vaping now than were taking up smoking in several years. If you're 18 and decide to vape, that's on you, but kids are doing this shit and going through 1+ packs worth of nicotine in a single day.
