My issue with vaping is the flavored cartridges and the way they're marketed. You have more kids taking up vaping now than were taking up smoking in several years. If you're 18 and decide to vape, that's on you, but kids are doing this shit and going through 1+ packs worth of nicotine in a single day.

It should be at least as hard for kids to get alcohol as it is to vape.

I'm not saying that it's hard to get alcohol as a kid, but it's harder than it is to get cigarettes. You're never gonna get kids to not do shit they shouldn't do. That's a pipe dream.

Stuff should be regulated more heavily. Outlaw something cuz kids are doing it? I mean, c'mon.

The problem with this is that it almost always leads to getting CPS involved and at least some time separated from your family.

Even abused kids largely don't want this. Especially young ones. The system doesn't properly address the issue.

It could be regulated more though, and probably should. If you're an adult it won't impact your life any extra to just actually show your ID and have it scanned instead of some dude just looking at you and going "nah you're okay". The penalties for selling tobacco to minors are not the same as selling alcohol.

probably should be at least as difficult to get that shit delivered from the internet as it is to get weed delivered too (or alcohol).

in MA we don't allow alcohol delivery of any sort. And, with weed being legal, my friends still have have fucking apps that delete messages after you read them and stupid coded language and shit to have weed delivered to them because it isn't legal to have it delivered.

I'm not calling on a ban on anything. There are other actions to take to limit exposure to kids, and many of those have already been taken for cigarettes and alcohol. They limit advertising times on TV, they can't advertise in certain publications, etc.

Advertisement for most of the beer I drink, or craft beer in general, is very limited. You get your Bud, Coors, etc. running ads during sporting events, but you're not seeing Sloop Brewing Co. advertising their Sloop Jam: Boomshakalaka even locally. You can find it on their website, but then you're specifically going out of your way to look for it. Same with a lot of beers, you're really only seeing them if you walk into a distributor.

If you can regulate what goes in it, and offer zero nicotine for most of the flavors you offer, that would go a long way to solving the issue.
