I've only seen her live, on tv. They always have their music on low in the backround incase they fuck up or something, but all that does is make you realize these artists need mad production work to sound like they do on the radio.

Ariana does have good chords though. Surprisingly, Halsey has good vocals too. She was def underrated in my book but live she killed it idk how that happened lol

You have to think of how often these artists are on tour or performing at something. Their voices are put through it. The number of shows a musician or artist does a year now has greatly increased on average.

Yeah, some artists literally have to space out performances and take actual breaks as to not damage their vocal chords. I forgot the name of it when they can have an injury in their chords and then they have to wait longer for it to heal.

Mike Patton had a 6 octave range which is the largest i've heard of from a 'pop' singer, think Axl was at 5.
