that's an easier difficulty!! ya nut
I played on Hard, wasn't about to fuck around with GoW mode on my first playthrough.

playing similarly well for a longer time is apparently not more difficult than playing well for a shorter period
Bloodborne is difficult because the combat mechanic is a clunky ass turned based system that feels like it’s straight out of a generic PS1 action game.
What I’m saying is it sucks.
my attempts at P5 might say otherwise but then again GPZ is a pile of random and unpredictability
Soulsborne games are difficult, but I do not disagree with this assessment. The clunkyness is what makes them tough, I don't consider them to be good games. I probably found GoW easy because I played it like I play cuhrazhay (devil may cry, bayonetta etc) games. I can't play Soulsborne games the same way.
Hard and GMGoW aren't comparable lol.
But yeah, I agree with everything AG said. It's fun but can be pretty tough early on and then again in a couple spots/fights.This difficulty setting has all the attributes of “Give Me A Challange” difficulty setting and adds more dynamics to make things more challenging.
For this difficulty setting, the enemies turn into elite enemies when damaged, take slightly less damage, they deliver much more status effect damage to Kratos and some last longer and are much stronger.
Furthermore, enemies’ defense gets boosted and can only be wall-pinned while they are mid-air, they can counterattack immediately after taking a hit or blocking an attack, Kratos’ movement during combat is much more precise, Kratos will have fewer advantages when its level is higher than enemies’.
The frost status effect reduces Kratos’s invincibility on evades, poison status reduces power level, burn status effect deals more damage, Spartan Rage meter is filled significantly slowly, health pickups will reduce status damage and can clear them too.
Not only that, in this difficulty setting, the enemies are more resistant to status effects, parry attacks are less effective and the Elite enemies take significantly reduced reactions to Spartan Rage and they don’t take ledge reactions at all.
I highly recommend it on a first play through if you like a challenge.
why doesn't anyone play the difficult games I have
why haven't I played any of the difficult games y'all mention
Which games?
P5 was fun on Hard. I played that on Hard instead of Merciless cause it sounded like Merciless was easier at the time? With the 3x damage or whatever. I could be completely wrong, though.
I kind of cheesed the Velvet room assistant fight by making that almost invincible Yoshitsune lol
it's been 2D stuffs lately
I got mostly gud at Hollow Knight but then after 112% sputtered out at the Pantheon of Hallownest (P5) and nowadays I get my shit pushed in on 2BC in Dead Cells
Oh, I thought you meant Persona 5 lol.
Yeah, I only beat Hollow Knight once and then moved on. I loved the game, but I had a shit load of games in my backlog at the time. I want to go back to it sometime, though. I was looking at some of the achievements and they sound tough.
I'm playing DOOM 2016 right now for the first time and loving it.
