The crazy part about calling someone racist is there's really only two outcomes.

1. They are racist and are either proud that you noticed or don't care
2. They aren't racist and they get offended.

I'm all for calling a spade a spade but the hilarity of calling someone who probably isn't racist, a racist, on an internet forum is quite comical

I think there's a clear delineation people tend to ignore. "You're racist" and "that's racist" can be very different things. Racist actions are carried out by mostly racist people, but not all racist actions are done by racists.

And I get the whole "I have black friends," is historically used as some sort of shield from being racist, but family is so radically different it's ridiculous.

My intention wasn't the former. It was to make a legitimate point that having family, people I lived with, love, share our lives with, of such backgrounds should count for something to someone who knows very little of me. It's a fact that should bring some perspective.

Watching my dad get called a sand n*er and get "randomly," selected to be searched every time we fly counts for something.

Having my sister get spit on because her parents are n*er lovers should count for something.

But shit sticks like Milkster, who never had those kinds of fantastic experiences, just want to stick their fingers on their ears and go "he used his family as a shield hur deh dur dur dur."
