The game might be a walking simulator, but it ain't no kings camping with 2% drop rate waste of your day. You can pause at any point in cutscenes or automated movements like ziplining, your character can "rest" which is basically him just sitting down exactly where you are and taking a nap to recover your stats while you go and move laundry over or change a diaper.

Very underrated design choice in many games
