That was always my natural reaction, seemed like a natural fit with Kaepernick being a poor man's Russell Wilson in terms of play style. Wouldn't have to change the offense much if Wilson got injured. Plus, his hiring would go over a lot better, politically, with your average Seattleite than many other markets.
They worked him out a couple of years ago, and took a pass, though. It doesn't seem likely now to have changed their opinion much, unless the only dealbreaker was that it was about money or being a starter, and Kaep has wavered on those issues.
Also, lol at anyone thinking kaep is gonna sign anywhere
Ya. I think he really fucked it up. I get his concerns and all, but announcing the move and shit last minute was just a terrible move and a terrible look.
Teams already knew what he could do. I think they were more interested in "do you want to play or make the story about you?"
As much as I hate to say it, Stephen A had a great point. You don't decide the day of that you want to close off a high school field for something like that. It simply doesn't work that way. It was planned in advance, and he did zero to alert the teams that sent scouts. I want Kaep signed, but that alone would make me nope the fuck out if I was interested to begin with.

Imagine being able to do what you love for millions of dollars, but being unable to not hit pregnant women enough to fuck it up
In all seriousness I feel bad for how rough some of these dude's upbringings were to be so unable to just function as a professional

Funny stat I just saw for the most overpaid garbage in the league: Sammy Watkins has more fantasy points in week 1 than week 2 ~ 11 combined, in standard leagues.
The NFL has no desire to see Kaepernick on a team again, this was all some ploy to set him up for failure so people would stop bringing him up. From what language may or may not have been in the waiver (since both sides seem to be arguing different things about it) to the whole timing of everything and putting fucking Hue Jackson in charge of the workout.
And Kaepernick honestly doesn't wanna be in the NFL at this point either I think. If he legitimately wanted to be on a roster he wouldn't have called out Goodell and the NFL on stream after finishing the workout, he just wanted to be visible to remind everyone he exists and advertise some new collabs with Nike.
So idk where everyone got this idea that Tepper was done with Cam, but Monday he he said ideally Newton makes a full recovery, remains with the Panthers, and leads the organization to a SB title.
Literally his only hang up and only scenario he cuts bait is if Newton doesn't make a full recovery, so he has to leave every option on the table because it's impossible to know at this time.
Granted, that's a very real possibility as we've all seen time and time again with that injury. So I'm cautiously optimistic.

translation: man that allen kid played like crap the other day, eh?
This Tua injury might be the best thing to happen to him. A lot of teams are going to pass on him and that makes me dream he can fall to the Pats. Let him recover fully from the injury while being mentored by the GOAT for 1-2 years.
Brady rides into the sunset for retirement and Tua steps in.

i have a hard time believing a first round graded qb drops very far just because of a dislocated hip.
same. hell if i was the dolphins and he fell to me at...4 or 5? Why not roll the dice anyway.
even if tua were healthy, was drafting him at 1 overall going to make them a contender, or even a decent team, next year?
you can still stash him and get more picks and hopefully talent for him later.
People keep comparing it to the Bo Jackson injury, meanwhile disregarding the 30 years of advancement in medical science.
