God, I fell so horrible for my step mother right now. My mother has basically decided and gotten into my brothers head that every dollar my dad invested into my step mom's house, and any debt that got discharged from his death should come back to my brother. They are now demanding all his financial records from credit cards and bank accounts before they will sign off on the trust. My dad passed away on 8/29 and we are still no where near being done. This whole time, the vacation home, we have the mortgage temporarily in forebearance as my stepmom is now down about 9k+ a month in money due to my dad's passing and I was hoping to already have the vacation home sold so my brother and I could walk away with about 100k each after paying off the remaining mortgage.
