Had no issues financially and got to work from home and able to take care of my little man. Moms had COVID and was hospitalized for a bit but she’s fine now.

Started FF14 about 2-3 months ago and been having a blast with it ever since.

Except for post-ARR. Fuck that entire quest line.

I've definitely been a lot more bored then usual, but I've saved so much goddamn money with all the extra time spent sitting around the house playing vidja

was a fun year overall. Did more hiking than ever before, kayaked for the first time, got back to lifting consistently, doubled the money I made this year, finally got an AC.

So fucking glad 2020 is done. Since covid hit in March, I had to deal with the following

1. Emergency surgery on one of our kitties
2. Cracked windshield had to be replaced.
3. Fractured my shoulder and gave myself a concussion in a fall
4. Had to get my windshield replaced a second time due to install issues.
5. Dad died
6. Oldest kitty had to be out down night before the funeral
7. Brother turns out to be a piece of shit and four months after dad's death is still contesting the trust

rough year. blew through another toxic relationship, handled it ok, lost a couple friends, didn't handle it well. turned things around in the second half tho. don't call it a comeback.

2020 sucked.. hurt my knee 6 days in at work. Ended up being a torn meniscus. Between workers comp being dumb, Covid delaying surgery, I was out 11 months. At least I didn't have to deal with Covid at work for a while. But now I do anyway. Also realized I have a ,OT fewer friends than I thought when basically no one (outside of some of you fuckers) talked to me at all while I was out. Asked a couple chicks out and predictably got turned down by them all so nothing new on that front.


I did get to play a lot of vidya though so that was cool

Immediately after buying a house I was told I'm being laid off in may 21. Same week found out wife was pregnant. A few weeks later we lost the baby. Then I got Covid, then the wife got Covid. We've been home for 20 days now and I can go back to work I guess anytime after Sunday.

I now have to figure out what I want to do with my life/career in the next few months. Do I want to go back to school for something like computer science when I haven't taken a math class in 12 years or do I want to take 3 years to do nursing school.

Probably going to try to collect unemployment from may till fall/winter and then have to work part time doing EMS or something which I detest.

21 will have upside that I'll start my new path at least, no clue what that will be yet.
