Yeah, I'll never get the amount of hate some people have for Nolan. I haven't seen Tenet yet, but he hasn't made a movie that I've disliked. Insomnia is probably my least favorite of his.

Prestige is up there as one of my favorites. And even if some people think it's pretentious, I loved Inception.

Could be bias, though. First time viewings of Nolan movies and The Departed is what got me back into movies after my 3 year addiction to FFXI lol. Back in 2010ish. Thanks to my brother's recommendations.

my favorite inception take:

Nolan: I have come up with the name for the female character who assists Cobb. We will name her Ariadne, after one of the daughters of minos. Ariadne helps theseus slay the minotaur, so this represents that Ariadne in the film will help Cobb descend into the maze of his mind to “slay” his wife, the memory of his greatest regret and first inception

rando: that’s pretty good. what do we call the wife?

My son is so high maintenance idk what to do about it. Any of you all like this as a kid?

He’s 7 and in swim lesssons and spends half the time needing to borrow goggles from the swim office.

“Buy him goggles” you say? I have bought tons. None seem to “work right” except the ones at the swim place even if they are the fucking same thing. I’d rather he not use them at all but learned quickly that was a lost cause.

This is just one of many examples.

Think that falls under the category of "deal with it". You don't have to placate him constantly, especially over something like in your example.
