Had a fever probably all weekend and at work today. Came home hitting over 100 and I rarely hit over 97.3 on a normal day.

Covid self test is negative as always.
Why can't it just be covid so I can use the pool of covid leave since I'm basically in the negative for my PTO.
I STILL never caught it.

Any chance it's just a false negative? Aren't like the self tests (or swab tests in general) super unreliable? Like if you got other symptoms you could probably at least justify using some of it to justify a quarantine and proper testing

FYI rapid tests were not great at detecting omicron. You really need a PCR test to be sure

I was thinking about that , I had one scheduled for today but I'm home alone and can barely walk from my bed to the bathroom and back.
Might just have someone take me tomorrow.
At least if I have symptoms, I have paid county leave until results come back.

It's one of the early self test kits by BinaxNOW so definitely possible. I have not felt better, only deteriorated today and have spent 90% of my time in bed. Fever still present 24 hours later so yeah no way I'm going in.

I'll call my HR rep in the morning who handles this stuff , no way I trust the Sergeant at the jail to handle anything lol.
From my understanding it does cover quarantine time as well. Sadly I've had to take photos of my thermometer just to prove I'm not lying..ugh.

I appreciate it and have to look into it because I don't remember. Think we get 40 or 80 hours from county separate from the state but lost access to my work email and VPN on my phone due to a system migration.

Fever spiked to 101.5 to 102.1 so yeah..definitively taking a test tonorrow.

Thank you for the reminder and appreciate it honestly. I took some theraflu caplets to try and control the pain and fever some and keeping a thermometer by my bed to check if I feel worse. It's been 99.0 to now 102.6 so trying to sip garorade bedside too.
Still have to break the bad news to work so waiting until after late muster to break it to them lol. Thankfully I'm covered since we have multiple signs and starion orders specifically that say if you have fever and other covid symptoms we aren't allowed to come in until cleqred via test or after symptoms are gone for 5 days. Sadly my position is not WFH.

Just went to a Disneyland trip with coworkers last week for Star Wars Nites so let them know too. Im documenting my temp changes and any breathing issues just in case since I have reactive asthma.

Covid 19 test negative..like the over 50 I've taken. So either this is just not being detected or I have the worst flu of my life.

Went to ER yesterday since symptoms had not improved, of course cold outside so shivering and temp reads no fever..sigh.
Chest x ray clean , they took a fuckton of blood so waiting on that.

Last night was watching TV and chills overtook my body worse than before. Had to use breathing exercises to not hyperventilate. Took huge swig of Nyquil, and still feel like utter death. Still can feel I can't take as deep breaths as I'm used to, regardless of xray I know my body.

I can honestly say I've never felt this sick as an adult for this long. A day or two , sure. Fever a few days , rare usually just a day.
I am MISERABLE and want answers.
