Evidence actually points away from that. Melatonin has low bioavailability as it is, and even then it only shifts signaling for circadian rhythm it doesn't alter it. Melatonin is suppressed naturally with light exposure over time and is an automatic process.

I had to change my words a bit to not be confusing. Serotonin is the precursor to melatonin but other than that the brain doesn't really have down regulation of melatonin receptors in the same way it does other regulatory mechanisms.

Can’t fucking sleep. Having stupid as shit nightmares again.

I have nightmares 6 days a week , usually about someone chasing me and trying to kill me or hurt me in some way. While my night twrrors only come a few times a year now, that trauma from being assaulted growing up has never gone away.

Though if I have enough edibles and drinks I sleep so fucking good usually.
I used to write out my dreams then stopped when I realized if anyone read this theyd think I was psychotic.

i sleep like a little baybay now. got most of my demons out by hitting the pool and going to bed early. physical exhaustion is my key to happiness.

but also being unemployed is like having a brain worm that occasionally just vibrates to let you know shit's tight.
