After my dad died, I went went through some bad depression. I felt like I was just an afterthought to most of the people that I loved. It made me wonder why I let people treat me like that. I felt like people were using my love against me and they could treat me like shit without repercussion.
Also, if this makes anyone feel better, I've been laid off 5 times from major companies.

I think most people have these thoughts if it makes you feel better. Most people who don't care about you won't even try to fake it. Lay offs happen especially at major companies, doesn't mean your a bad worker or anything. Sucks man. I've been lucky to avoid all that shit

Aw man this hits real close to home and I wouldnt have believed I could feel any different until one day I did. I never got diagnosed or anything, but maybe I should have in hind sight. Theres a real stigma in talking about it that's starting to change, but it certainly didnt change fast enough for me.

I just want to know what I should be doing with my life. When I was on the Hill I was happy because my job was basically to be smart and it had an affect on national policy. But I was there for less than a year for a Congressman who's now retired. That means no one else is possibly gonna bring me on in a position that makes more than I make now, and I can't afford to make less.

Man, sounds like you wish you were doing "big" things, and I'm trying to tell you there is nothing bigger than raising kids to replace this generation. Your genes are the only thing that will survive the passage of time after you die, you'll never do anything bigger.

Kinda small but my birthday party was this last weekend and I was gifted 3 eighths of shrooms and sister in law asked me in front of everyone if I wanted to share one of the bags and since I didn’t pay for them and felt put on the spot I said yes. But they were so good I wish I had said no so I could do bigger trips solo like I usually do.

Didn’t want to be ungrateful but can’t seem to shake why my first instincts are to horde things or not share.
