I'm just venting really. Had a really unexpectedly intense semester and the amount of work being required for each class was unexpected. I don't normally have trouble with school but this semester has been a bitch. Also doing a correlational study and pretty sure I did something wrong with my data but I'll try to figure it out tomorrow.

if that's not an option or if you're already busy.. i usually make time to watch a favorite movie or find a way to get outta my own head. my advice is bad though as i know it doesn't work for most people

Nah this isn't bad because my problem has precisely been that I haven't been keeping myself busy.

If you can, try and do soemthing you enjoy...moves, video games, puzzles, etc. Usually at least helps some...

Unfortunately for me, I find myself feeling shitty a lot. Usually just takes time for me personally. Eventually something/s happen and I start feeling better. I know that doesnt help but meh

If you are anything like me sometimes you will let a lot of little things pile up. Housework, phone calls, errands around town etc. If I find myself in a funk I’ll just roll through a checklist of things starting with the smallest and working my way up to biggest. Getting shit done and off the back of the mind will give a sense of purpose and accomplishment.

And if it doesn’t, well at least you got your shit together for a few days eh?

The biggest corporation in my industry announced restructuring today, again. Loads of people in my field lost their jobs. I’m tired of having a bachelors degree with years of experience in my field and still being poor. Thinking about hitting the eject button on a ten year career and starting over doing something else is terrifying, but an even scarier thought is still being broke going into my 40s. I think I’m gonna have to start making moves elsewhere.

I think I’m gonna have to start making moves elsewhere.

I understand this feeling, after 12 years as a technician and a couple injuries with surgeries was told today I’m not medically unable to do my job, working with union to move into a sales position so that I’m not just out of a job next week to at least have a buffer till I make the next move, which most likely will be doing schooling to become an anesthesia technologist. Need to find a career that isn’t easily surplussed or a dying industry.
