You feel sick because your body does the same motions whenever it gets a cold/flu. The vaccine makes your body do the same thing, only lighter than a flu and conferring protection from a usually dangerous strain of the flu.

You do understand how vaccines work right? I'm guessing not because you think this is a slam dunk retort. They're putting a dead or seriously weakened version of the virus in your body so your immune system can develop the antibodies to properly fight it. You know what an immune response to a virus is? Fever, headache,muscle aches etc.

I got the shot, I got sick, haven't been sick all year, not getting the shot next year. I'll just deal with the flu if I get it.

You're not getting the flu because you got the vaccine and are around a large number of people who also got the vaccine and you all were able to build an immunity to the virus so there was no in or susceptible person that could catch it and pass it on. I.e. herd immunity

i had proper flu+fever stuffs a couple weeks ago: an involuntary 2-day fast and temps of 102-103* for 50-60 hours, man, i had to have 5 burgers the next week to rebuild my midwest ass
