think only one of my grandparents made it past 70, and she died at 71. parents just turned 70
My Great Grandparents died old as shit. Great Grandmother is still going strong at 92(?). Still sassy as hell too. Great Grandfather on my mom's side was 96 when he passed. Dude had Alzheimer's though so that's like an automatic time limit right there. Great Grandparents on my dad's side were old too when they passed with my GGrandmother at like 91 or something. My mom's mom died at 70 but she had a quadruple bypass surgery 10+ years before so she too was on a time limit. Died in her sleep though like a princess. All my other grandparents still have a fuck ton of life in them coupled with good habits just for staying alive. Dad's mom used to be the "Big Momma" stereotype, got her shit together and slimmed down a fuck ton so I'm proud of her.
My family's basically guaranteed to live long as long as we maintain healthy habits.
Lol of course your great grandma is only 92
I don't know all that much of my family history , my mom died in 2005 at 64 years old , my dad died in 2016 at 89.
I remember my mom's side died in their 80's and my dad's side died young, his mom only lived to be about mid 40's.
Other than that it's a mystery.
Most of family is estranged but I don't have any serious medical issues that are known, only colon cancer my dad had but went into remission for years before he died of other complications over the years.

One thing I've learned working with and around old people is if your health starts failing then being alive is a miserable prison and you can't wait to die.
Have you offered them steroids to counteract this?
Thisssss. But they only suffer through living because they know their kids and other family members aren't prepared for them to die. All the surgeries, medications and machines are miserable but thats the family wanting to feel better not because peepaw or meemaw wants to live longer
I betting on cybernetics on keeping me alive for the next 100 years
Mostly my grandmother.

my mom died when i was 6, dad died a few years back. grandmother died when she was 91, and her mother passed when she was 102. so, i think i have a shot at getting hella old, although i dunno if i want to
My family mostly died in their 70s.
My husband’s grandmother is still alive.
My uncle told me a story about how the bookmobile driver in his neighborhood growing up was this 6'6" black guy named Ray and how he'd always come by their street because he was totally nailing my grandma. He of course viewed it from the eyes of a kid whose already deadbeat mom was now cheating on his dad, but my mom told me that Ray reconnected with my grandma years later and sent her love letters until the day he died. My grandma passed too but I think her sister still has those letters.
