it fucks me up when someone rich/famous kills themselves because its like dam that dude had everything (money-wise, thats basically all I consider) and it still wasnt enough to bother with this clown world

i guess i dont necessarily care about the person as much as the implication for me
When Keanu dies ill be upset. Denzel too. Trying to think of others...but idk i just don't have an attachment to the demographics that usually die atm lol. Tragic ones like Bernie Mac upset me, but I wasnt crying or nothing. Michael Jackson too, pretty upset but not hysterical.

wrong thread
?? Of course they have
I feel bad for about 5 seconds then I typically forget they're dead until someone brings it up in a conversation years later
My care-o-meter for dead celebs is definitely low
Then why do you feel nothing? You know, I used to be like you, I was an emotionless rock. Even when my wife miscarriaged our first child, I didn't know how to act. It was fucked up. That changed after we had our daughter, and now we have a son, and now I'm older and people I know are dying and now I'm dealing with having emotions. I also stopped smoking weed all the time (I still do 2-3 times a week), and that feels like a reason why I've been different about my feelings.
Just some thoughts
van halen dying and your unborn first child dying is kinda different
I don't know, it could possibly be the weed since I been smoking since high school pretty relentlessly, was curious if others really felt devastated by like eddie van halen dying as they make it sound.
I watched plenty of my idols pass away starting way back with Kurt and Shannon Hoon, but I was generally kinda like "that sucks"
And yeah I'm not sure a miscarriage is quite comparable to a celebrity I haven't met dying but I understand what you are getting at.
I’ll be pretty sad when Ric Flair finally kicks the bucket.
Totally. Growing up with a multiple personality bipolar drug addict mother probably fucked me up emotionally as well. Walking on egg shells every day and not being able to feel anything because it would set her off didn't help either. Having a non existent drug dealer step dad and a ghost for a real dad didn't help. But I think I'm better now. LOL
For me it's more about when artists whose future work I was really looking forward to die that sucks. I don't really feel anything when someone old whose works I admired passes away, but when Philip Seymour Hoffman died I was pissed.
I dont feel bad when a rich famous person that I dont know or met dies.
I must be psycho.
I was more upset when juice world died than when Michael Jackson died
