Does anyone have problems doing the dodge on the zombies? I just can't seem to get it down, it is either random or idk. I even have the book that makes dodging easier.

Yeah, I'm still pretty shitty at it. Fail more often than not. Although I haven't been bothering that much with it too, doing lower difficulties so just trying to rack up kills for the records.

I was decent at dodging zombies. Fucking terrible at dodging anything else lol

For dodging zombies, it makes it easier if you run at them. Running at them makes them lunge at you right away, so you can tap dodge right as you get close to them and it'll result in a perfect dodge every time. It'll take a little practice to get it down, but it's the most consistent method I found. This is on Hardcore, by the way. I'm not sure if the difficulty changes their aggressiveness when running at/by them.

Like I said in an earlier post, a good spot to practice with just one zombie is the first one you see at the beginning. There's a checkpoint right there too, so you can just hit continue if you die while practicing.

I did that and haven't ever had issues after that. I practiced Nemesis too on his first encounter, so now it's just nothing but perfect dodges as I run through the streets to collect shit lol


Edit: now the Nemesis infected enemies are a different story. I haven't really messed with them too much, but that little tentacle stab they do as you get close seems hard to predict. I'm sure there's some cue for it, but haven't noticed it yet.

Lol, I missclicked during the last scene and learned you can actually get a game over on it.
Also, no idea why I thought S was under 2h at first and my stupid ass was ignoring getting MAG on some of my first runs, although now I can usually get it and still clock around 1,5h.

S Rank requirements are under 2 hours for everything except Assisted difficulty, so that's probably why you thought that

@Salodin: Yeah, all RE games are quick. RE2 remake current record is a little under 50 minutes.

I'm doing my first Nightmare run after finally beating the game last night (5:30ish was my game time for Hardcore), and also attempting the S rank just cause. I'm glad I came in with that go fast mindset from the start cause the amount of enemies in this difficulty is fucking crazy lol. Having to fight all of them if I was playing casually would be terrible.

Just checked online and indeed, I misread the results page in game it seems, thinking now it was 2,5h for all difficulties. Hardcore is actually 1h45m, so I'm glad I actually was still under that on my hardcore run.

I heard Brad chases you thru the RPD like the one in RE1? That seems crazy lol. I just finished a 1:40m but I feel its a little cheapened when you use all those bonus items, but maybe they are necessary for the higher difficulties.

I heard he does on hardcore modes, or that if you leave him alive he'll wander outside the police station.

I can confirm that. I left him alive on my Nightmare run because you get his ID card in a different spot, and he showed up in the safety deposit room lol. Definitely surprised me. I saw him wandering outside the windows a bit before that but didn't really think anything of it.


Also, fuck the last boss on Nightmare. I have no bonus items other than infinite Handgun and he can combo and kill me with a few of his moves. I just have to beat him and I have my S rank, but he's not making it easy lol.
