Who cares what the reason was, the office was closed until this past monday. You're acting like the senate has been waiting months.
It's been 5 days.

I'm sorry, what?
He put out an op ed just this year that the filibuster is a vital tool in the Constitutional order and Reps are very likely to be in the minority again in the next cycle or two regardless of who's in the White House. It's a tool he's going to make use of again soon, it's not going anywhere soon.
Gorsuch's appointment took things to a simple majority but the nuclear options was first invoked more then 6 years ago now - which he promised Dems would regret.
I didn't say he created the nuclear option. But he used it in Gorsush's case. I did think I was mixing the filibuster before that with Reid's. That I admit.
To aside from that, as I said Trump has been pretty adamant about having Biden subpoenaed, and there would be no reason not to. Would you risk it?
What's interesting in the last 3 pages is that Ksandra's display of patience, you know, like a good teacher would have.
I think we know Ksan is a good ass teacher, which may really be more about holding space for students well than her ability to zing us chucklefucks.
Was it here where favorability came up?

Trump hoped that wishing Kim Jong-un "happy birthday" would be enough to restart talks to denuclearize, NK said no.
Mr Kye also confirmed the country had received Mr Trump's personal letter congratulating Mr Kim for his birthday, believed to be on 8 January, but said it would be "absent-minded" to expect a resumption of negotiations based on their relationship, which he described as "not bad".
"Although Chairman Kim Jong-un has good personal feelings about President Trump, they are, in the true sense of the word, 'personal'," he said. "We have been deceived by the US, being caught in the dialogue with it for over one year and a half, and that was the lost time for us."
You said he's been dismantling the filibuster and I dont see any evidence of that. He's clearly is not interesting in changing Senate procedures in a way that could potentially be used against him and asymmetrical impeachment proceedings was be a very odd place to reverse that trend.

I said I was mistaken on the filibuster. There’s nothing to suggest he won’t bend to Trump. I think it’s important to remember that the repubs in Congress love Trump. Sure they even eye roll at the shit that spews out of his mouth, but he’s fell in line and attempted to give them everything that they wanted.
Don’t also forget the repubs are excellent at the party before Country motto. And their party of voters fucking love Trump.

The entire state of Texas will deny new refugees.
Gov. Greg Abbott announced on Friday that his state will not accept new refugees this year, making Texas the first state to reject resettlements under a new rule from President Trump.
"Texas has carried more than its share in assisting the refugee resettlement process," Abbott, a Republican, said in a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday.
"Since FY2010, more refugees have been received in Texas than in any other state. In fact, over that decade, roughly 10% of all refugees resettled in the United States have been placed in Texas," Abbott noted.
He added, "Texas has been left by Congress to deal with disproportionate migration issues resulting from a broken federal immigration system."
lol, stay classy greg.
Not that I want to participate in this spat, but the entire excuse for a rushed impeachment turned out to be a big lie. Further evidence it was more political gain as motivation rather then punishment for wrongdoing.
Trump calling for new witnesses to testisfy in the senate trial
Spoiler: show
To say what?
Isn't that baffling, like, why should they testify. The impeachment trial is in regards to the clear abuse of power made in not only attempting to extract political favors from a foreign power, but also illegally holding up aid and attempting to obstruct the investigation into it. What information could Schiff or Pelosi add to that?
The only thing dumber than calling for it would be anyone who believes any kind of conspiracy theory around it.
