Hasn't Venice built something to this effect with great success?

You didn't bother to read my first post I guess. Edit: second post! My bad.
Look. I didn't anywhere in there say we should legalize it because reasons. I said that even though other countries do it, we're not those countries and it would be disastrous.
And the responses? That I'm saying we should legalize bribery so companies can stay competitive.
Like I said. Same old bullshit.

My original point, btw, was that this wasn't some batshit crazy Trumpism that sounded like an Onion article as it was presented originally.
Coming from someone else, it wouldn't have had the same reaction.

Your head is so far up your own ass that you actually think BG would be FOR bribing foreigners, but only so long as it wasnt Trump suggesting it.
That's retarded, and if you actually believe that then you're retarded as well.

No one else would have suggested it, nor would anyone "liberal" on this board support it because it's tantamount to saying "bribery is cultural and legal except in the USA so if we legalize it we'll be able to compete against them in their market despite the behavior being incredibly unethical and unamerican".
Like... I get it. We need to be competitive. But if unethical and illegal behavior that is overlooked in other nations is our only solution to this dilemma we're losing our moral compass.
In addition if you think Trump is the sort of individual who is looking at this situation as anything but an opportunity for him you don't know his practices very well.
Maybe you should clarify exactly what it is you're arguing because if you're saying that this idea should be given consideration and not being able to bribe forging entities is a significant drain on American business abroad, then legalizing bribery is exactly what you're arguing for.
You've gone back and forth between 'You just took that statement out of context' to 'People are legitimately looking to change to law' to 'It would be disastrous if implemented' sometimes within the same breath.
And if you could provide a statement or proposed bill of of legislator suggesting to loosen or eliminate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act I would be glad to see it because so far as I'm aware it hasn't happened.
From 2015 with halfassed googling while I'm watching the football game. It's not a new idea.

That link has the venice project AND bribery all in the same article.

So is this you advocating for making bribery legal, or what? What is your position, before you claim the hivemind is just taking a contrarian view because the orange man said it.
Linking an opinion piece about Romania, of all places, is odd considering the context. It's also behind a paywall.

Also, cause you then posted a second link describing how short sighted seawalls are, but also how bribes were a part of the cause of the problem. I doubt the people of venice would agree that it should be easier to bribe officials, even foreign ones.
But they're probably only saying that cause Trump suggested it /eyeroll

Oh, so you concur with the opinion of the hivemind?
