Leading U.S. bank executives in a meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House said banks are strongly capitalized and prepared to help small businesses and American consumers weather the coronavirus outbreak.

The chief executives of Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Citi, JPMorgan Chase and others said banks are in good shape, there is no financial crisis and bankers want to provide liquidity.

Trump said he would discuss travel restrictions to Europe later on Wednesday.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro’s communications director tested positive for the new coronavirus, just days after traveling with Bolsonaro to a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Florida.

A statement from the president’s communications office on Thursday said director Fábio Wajngarten’s test results have come back positive, and that the presidency is adopting preventive measures to ensure Bolsonaro’s health.

Wajngarten joined Bolsonaro on a three-day trip to the U.S. and on Saturday was at the Mar-a-Lago resort, where he posted a photo of himself posing beside Trump. A video from the event also showed him standing directly behind both presidents as they addressed a crowd.

Potentially everyone who was at Mar-A-Lago this past weekend got it.

I was curious what the sort of people who've endlessly been saying 'how's your 401k doing' in response to any sort of criticism of Trump, in what I'm pretty sure is some kind of reflex, have been saying recently and apparently it's something on the order of 'they finally got Trump.'

No idea exactly who 'they' are exactly but apparently this downturn is a results of mass hysteria and over reaction or a deep state/fake news effort to tank the economy solely to injure Trump.

Trump says he's "not concerned" about the virus as he and the Brazilian never touched.

“We did nothing very unusual. We sat next to each other for a period of time and had a great conversation,” Trump told the press Thursday. “He's doing a terrific job in Brazil. We'll find out what happens.”

I wonder if Trump knows that the virus can stay active on a surface for up to three days.
