On a serious note, I'm torn between being appreciative I can still work as we're considered an essential business, and knowing I'm putting my wife and daughters health and possibly lives at risk.

I can not fathom what health care workers are dealing with.

Real talk, I feel you. I'm in the same boat, with a cold, but if I stop working my department closes down and that's real bad for this region of my company. Im being told to work and get it done, which I'm fine with, but I'm a pariah at work because of it. Management still sending emails to stay home for the littlest of things including a cold, be extra safe, and then calling me on my phone to come in cause hey, were a business and we got needs.

Its frustrating, I feel like I'm alone and no one has my back but also the job has to get done and they're paying me the same, with unlimited OT available, and absolutely nothing has been cut thus far. Management up my ass to get work done, anyone who isnt management side eyeing me to go away, it sucks. I shouldnt complain, and I'm not complaining about the work, but the people havent made it easier.

No no no. I didn't say more influence than the POTUS. It just didn't originate from some random Facebook post.

While Trump is 100% the kind of dude that would gloss over a post and be like "WE GOT A CURE," that's not where he got the info.

It was based on some trials that did have positive results. He just went harder with it than a normal person would. Which is classic Trump.

I'll speak for my wife, who's about to head into work. Her floor has a large FB group chat and someone confirmed there is a positive case in her hospital right now. So yeah, she's a little shook up.

edit: Today we got some spray bottles for our homemade hand sanitizer we've made. We've stocked up a lil on some Asian Mart Essentials. I'm a little worried for her, but we have good health without any major past or present health concerns plus age on our side. Still, it's worrisome.

Also, fucking hell Lowes and Home Depot or sold out and 2 months out on any freezer.
