Since about 2013ish Stephen Jones and Will McClay have taken over/split the GM role for the Cowboys, and since then most of the moves the Cowboys have made have made sense from a front office aspect. And that's both in drafts and in free agency. It's been pretty rare within the past 6-7 years that shit has been just flat out wacky *cough* signing gregory when suspended indefinitely *cough*

i dont think he committed to anything yet. i watched an interview with him during super bowl week and he was just talking about the fact he was happy to be alive

Smith is going to be iffy at best for training camp, and I'd be shocked if he ever takes another snap. Between almost dying, and the fact doctors at week 17 still never even cleared him to be anywhere near the sideline on game days, I just don't see him coming back.

Their cap situation isn't that bad. They will go into 2020 with 48 Million, and they can easily free up more. Just off the top, they can cut Trent Williams and only have a dead cap of 2mil to carry, that free's up 10 mil. Not sure how good Josh Norman was last year, but they'd save 12 mil cutting him as well. So they could easily squeeze in PRIVS and still make other roster changes.

He was an above average CB made to look great by the system they had in place in CAR.

That was a very Redskins signing from the get go. Hopefully Ron has better sense than that, but personnel choices have always been his Achilles heal.

He back tracked on that almost immediately a day or two ago, originally saying something like "people very very high up in the cowboys wanna do this trade" and now it's oh no I never spoke to a single cowboy person.
