Seems more info has come out about this Arturo arc. At worst, Art was just sloppy with payments so some of the money was being eaten by transaction fees that didn't need to be along with the obvious late payments that he admitted to. He did take his cuts from the pots, but TOs knew ahead of time (I think?) and still let him do it so whatever, I still think it's a shit thing to do if he was already getting paid by the TO to stream/run the tournament. It is what it is, he's already slowly working his way back to streaming some events.

He's still a leech that doesn't want to work and wants the fgc to pay his bills. Everything I've heard in this paints a picture of a man with no work ethic even when it came to running events.

Looks like Matcherino (also has NFT promotional scandal now) went ghost along with Bum, Bifuteki and a few others. RobTV tried to mediate but is starting to be thrown under the bus for trying to be neutral. Fanatiq & Bluerei working overtime bringing receipts and having people step up to prove they got paid, albeit very slowly and in a sloppy fashion. TOs were above board, and Matcherino seems to have given Art some level of carte blanche on how to deal with payouts outside of their own payment system. Destiny Fomo mentions that the company burned through their reserve cash and wants to purchase the company wholesale. The term "Arturo" is trending for the 4th or 5th time in the last week, this time along with "Matcherino". I definitely don't mind taking the L if I am wrong, but damn if I am gonna point fingers any more. Just gonna shut up and watch, lol.

While I've been setting up my whole retro gaming box I've been going back and playing a lot of older fighting games testing everything out.

A) CvS2 really is the best fighting game ever made and I will not listen anyone saying otherwise.

B) Killer Instinct 2013 is way way better than it ever got credit for, in addition to having maybe the best title theme in the history of video games.

Killer Instinct is criminally underrated. And every other fighting game should just be buying the netcode from Rare.

KI2013 was made by Double Helix, who got bought up by Amazon in 2014 and just folded into their general games division. Rare basically just consulted on the game afaik.

But seriously, the only flaw KI had was being exclusive to Xbox One. Good graphics, amazing music, good fighting mechanics, and a hype viewer component since combo breakers are fun as hell.

Ki was great, but it released when few ppl had access to the new Xbox and even fewer had the limited arcade stick for it. Bad timing

KI propped up the FGC when the netcode was shit for every other game and people were tired of streaming lagfest matches.

KI died so the FGC could live. I'll always respect that game.

If playing fighting games are what you do (trying to do) for some type of living, a PS5 or low-end gaming PC is a minimal investment.

PLEASE don't tell me these TOs are going to be trotting out PS4's for Street Fighter 6....

Anyways doesn't the PS5 still have system wide input lag problem? I know they've been working on it but last I bothered to check it still has more input lag than the other consoles (PS4/XSX) and obviously PC.

Tests from 2nd beta for sf6 showed it was pretty comparable to Xbox.
