Evo Japan apparently was a fucking mess for players. No seeding in brackets, no double jeopardy protection, and apparently the venue was hot as fuck with no a/c running.

Every building in Japan is hot AF with no a/c running. Hell, I turned down a transfer in 2017 solely because our offices there have no a/c.
Don't complain about the conditions though, Japanese players. Don't cause trouble for your seniors. Just endure. Show us that staggering Japanese spirit of enduring bullshit so as not to seem disruptive!
Fucking morons.
Heh, being from South Florida, i would feel right at home considering how we’re used to unreal amounts of humidity and heat here.
Yeah people forget that Japan gets hot and fucking swampy. Not sure where this "Japan has perfect temperate climate" thing came from. Their summers are HOT.
Summertime there is simply miserable, at least in Tokyo. Right after Summer is typhoon/rain season, also miserable unless you just love rain. April/May/November/December are fantastic.

Just adding some fuel.
hitbox really is superior. its so good i dont even bother bragging about it lol
All this debate is honestly getting me to try some new toys.
Got this guy waiting for me when I get home from Vegas later today - https://www.etsy.com/listing/845376230/fightboard-mx-v3
Edit : I like the WASD style more than Hitbox. 720s aren't clicking yet (only been playing with it for a day though), but everything else just makes more sense in my brain than with the hitbox layout
I think which of the two you find more comfortable and intuitive is completely dependent on your gaming background.

From what I'm getting so far I would definitely say I prefer WASD style BUT 720s on it suck ass due to having to use the same finger for up and down. And since I like to play grapplers that kinda makes it a no go if I can't get used to it. But only been fucking with it for a day so I'll see.
The portability of that design is sweet as hell, can just throw it in my backpack or a pocket and be gtg
Somehow years after it actually matters I can now suddenly do Bison's crMP>crMK link in SF4 consistently. Somehow the timing on that link never processed right when the game was still relevant.
Kran I haven't played Sf4 since 2018, but would love to if you're free soon.
I'm up for like another hour.
Been using 4 to practice stuff and test out some sticks/controllers since it has tighter input requirements than the newer games (outside of still having the dragon punch shortcuts).
But not too tight of controls, I don't need to hurt myself trying to paint the fence or whatever.
Just had eye surgery so I prob cant play til it heals. Few days, I'll ping ya
Yoooo lmk too, i think i still have usf4 installed
I have some people from my current hnmls in a private ffxi server that play shit on fightcade too
Aside, I was at an arcade in Vegas over the weekend and was playing some sets with some random dude, and managed to pull a standing 720 on the crappy sticks in the cabinet (had to retighten the ball between rounds).
Felt so damn pleased with myself.
Also 6 has stricter inputs overall compared to 5. I was playing Jamie earlier and having the same issue with his command grab that I do with half circles in gear where you have to have both forward and back to get it.

Oh, I have Ultra SFIV on Steam, though haven't played it. Must have gotten it on a bundle or something. I'd probably be down, though i'd be nothing more than a practice dummy lol.
