Definitely isn't wrong though. The FGC tourneys were far better when all the big majors, even minors, gave qualifying points. Those years you would see tons of international talent at EVERY event and it was fucking awesome. I don't think even half of those events exist anymore (NCR, SCR, all the Big E shit, Canada Cup, FinalRound?). Even Australia and Thailand had big ones back then.

A lot of the majors fell to covid. Pretty sure final round and Canda cup are donzo. Think NCR and SCR were closing shop before the pandemic though.

Many were shutting down pre-Covid. The games were (are currently) bad, near 0 international competition compared to the SF4 era, viewership terrible, and payouts were a flat out embarrassment.

Some of the hitboxes feel super wonky, but I think that will get sorted out as the game develops

Drive seems fun and allows for a way more open endedness. You have to know how to react to random Drive Impacts, but you also can't fall into the same block string habits otherwise Impact will blow that shit up. Starting matches with full stock really allows you to change your approach from the word go. I'm feeling it
