Is there any logic to awakened abilities or is it complete RNG? Have Elemental Capacity III, 3x Attack V, and 1x Attack IV on my ice gun. I'm around stored potential 15 and I still can't roll that last Attack V but getting Attack VIs like there's no tomorrow.

Thoughts on Normal Shot Charm 1/2?

Trash. It's just not worth giving up the charm for that given how comparatively light the gem slot cost is.

The charm for any of the bow guns is either gonna be Awakening III or Razor Sharp/Spare Shot, bow probably using either the elemental level 5 or Fury.

There's another festival starting on the 9th and it'll be remarkably easy to farm Forceshot gems from the Steamworks then.

Elemental 5 or Fury?

The level 5 elemental attack charms (Shock 5, Frost 5, etc), Fury is the Resentment charm for if you're running Safi set

Ah, thanks. I should get that elemental charm. I tend to use my Taroth Blast Bow with 3/3 Free Element for the most part but elders and Subspecies i'll use elements on.

Oh man, those Gold Rathian and Silver Rathalos are mean. They're fun to solo cause it really forces you to up your game but hot damn.

Is it worth me trying to solo Safi for bows/armour or is there something better?

I don't think Safi is active in console atm, and trying to solo it is fucking dumb and a waste of time.

yeah no safi on console atm. it's tempered zinogre for jewels and tempered nerg for great spiritvein gems

i think i would start using this build on greatsword and hammer.

i imagine once the arch tempers start poppin out i'll be using some bastardized variant of that all the time

i'm officially on the fuck master touch train for gs and hammer atm. with the introduction of raging brachy gear, white sharpness safi with divine blessing secret is just better.

Don't know why you needed raging brachy gear to realize that investing a third of your build into maintaining a 5% damage boost was a waste.

(I do still use MT on CB though because savage axe does as much damage to your sharpness as it does to the monster)

i played around with it before but every time i did i didn't feel there was a viable setup pre-brachy with the jewels i had without giving up significant skills like tenderizer or critical boost. now it's just so easy to have it all. even with my crappy tier 4 jewels it's easy to make this

Got all my Safi weapons I wanted fully upgraded. Now for the ~2 week wait for the cranky duo.

Got to admit Silver Rath isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Once I get my charms leveled I'm sure I can do some pretty nasty damage on 3 stars

Also, I'm probably sure you guys all know this but I just found out about the event Flora Frostbite and getting assloads of slot4 gems. If you start at Central camp with capped Botanist and Master Gatherer, it takes likes less than 15 seconds to do and complete and so far I've gotten 3 4slot gems every run. I'm also using 3/5 of Kirin for rewards but I have no idea if that helps my gem rate or not.

I really need some Area Challenge help for Hero King Coins. I have skill with the bow but nothing else. Anyone willing to help with that? I'd like enough to make the whole armour set aswell as the bow.

Just got a message from a rando saying "You fucking jackass, you just ruined our entire 40 minute because of that Capture. Capturing ruins drop rates. You're such a dumb piece of shit" only said with more spelling errors and loads more anger.

If it was Guiding Lands he's technically not wrong, it is worse to capture there unless you're trying to level up zones. But 90% of people still do it anyways.
