Finished builds for Safi fire, thunder, ice and water LBGs. Bit of a grind to basically do the same fucking build 4 times on different weapons.

Also, Ode to Destruction is a huge fucking waste of time compared to just farming tempered Velk in choral GL for Great SV Gems.

What skills were you looking for? I’m still of the opinion(be it I’m not where you guys are yet) but doing Flora Frostbite with 3/5 Kirin is amazing for gems. The amount of Slot4 gems, either Hard or awesome combos I’ve gotten is just insane and requires 0 work.

Are there better gem quests that I’m just not at yet or were you trying for something super specific?

Yeah, you need an item that only drops from tempered elders in the guiding lands normally to augment weapons and armor that are rank 12. The tempered Ruiner quest Ode to Destruction rewards them, but I've only seen it give 1 while just killing temp Velk in GL with Geology 1 usually gives 3-4 and is super easy because it's Velk.

As for the armor decos, you can only reliably get the best ones from T3 monsters, so pretty much tempered elders and savage pickle or anything added after the expac launched. (Excluding Safi of course, he drops fuck all for gems.)

Ah, okay. I do apologize if I'm coming off as annoying. I feel like I'm behind so much and the Wiki is devoid of anything thats actually useful. Its frustrating

i've had good success with it. normally pops out 2 or 3 for me and the quest only takes about 8-10 minutes

the tempered zinogre event quest gives you a high chance of getting sealed feystones. between carved and sealed, i've gotten up to 9 from a single quest

I did 3-4 runs and literally got 1 Great SV each time and some lesser ones. Velk drops tons of shionies, so you're getting both Great SVs and mats to trade for upgrades at the same time.

I am finding new ways to have even more sheer contempt for rathalos and rathian. They aren't hard. They're actually even easier than I remember since my Dual Blades muscle memory seems to be spot on when it comes to dodging. The problem is that once i've got them limping, those fuckers keep on flying across to the other side of the map and then turn around just before I get there to go the other way. I don't even have the map memorized yet.
Next up is Diabolos. Always hated him, I have no para weapons, and it's just a dick all around.

With more practice you'll begin to know each monsters fixed zone path. Depending on where you begin it will never change.

When Monster Hunter World first came out. I was on Bow, exploring the first zone there. I ran into an Ajanath. I then spend 3 hours dying to it while i tried to kill it. It took months, I mean months, to unlearn my muscle memory from the Claw that you were required to master to play MHFU2 on PSP. And now because of that, anytime i see that fucking stupid wannabe T Rex, I go out of my way to murder it to. I won't even capture it. It deserves to die. Also, fuck MR Diablos and Black Diablos.

I never bothered with the claw. You could tap the PSP shoulder button to re-center the camera, so I just developed a sense of when best to hit it, or turn so I could snap it the way I want.

DBs are such a great weapon if you have a generally aggressive playstyles. I usually like fast weapons though. Only complaint is the set is so restricted you can't really have variation. I really hope MR KT weapons have true Crit on them.

Thats been my biggest issue from really want to go full ham on DB. I love the bow and the freedom you get from it. yeah, its not the most powerful or showy, but its a good source of consistent damage and gives you plenty of room to dodge. If I'm on DB, I find myself getting high on attacking and end up fucking myself cause I just keep mashing buttons and am unable to dodge. And holy hell, do I hate fighting large mobs on DB. Was doing a Pickle in the arena, first time fighting a large monster on DB, I didn't lose but god damn i got so mad. I could only attack its ankle and the fucker wouldn't stand still lol.

Since theres no access to Safi right now, what do people think of 2/5 Gold Rath armour, 3/5 Kirin armour for DB with various gems mixed in?

I am noticing slightly more animation locks than I'm used to (that are probably me hitting the wrong button), but most of the standard combos have the ability to change into a dash at any time. If I can't dodge, it's because I missed my timing to turn demon mode off and recover stamina in order to dodge the next hit. I'm sure that will change once i get to the harder monsters that don't telegraph so easily and won't allow me to maintain demon/archdemon mode.
