the dive bomb is a two hit attack (for some reason) so if you wear divine blessing secret you're pretty much guaranteed to survive it if your health is near the cap. ive been hit by it like half a dozen times and survived

The only "ranged" build I use DP5 on is Spread 3 HBG though, and I never use DP3 anymore. It's normally not an issue, because most monsters don't have a 360 degree instant death attack that mostly fills whatever area you're in. And the ones that do there's usually more time to prepare and/or some mechanic like hiding behind something.
That said, it's still pretty doable because the weapons that can't block usually sheathe pretty quickly, and superman dive is still as OP as it always was.
I was fighting a AT Nameille and honestly, like, every 3-5 minutes it just ran away to the furthest point it could. I ended up timing out cause it spent more time in the air, than on the ground.
Sounds like you weren't doing much damage to it. Namielle doesn't fly much other than certain to do certain attacks or to change zones, and shouldn't do that very often unless it's not even going into rage.
Probably, I'm not the best at fast damage, however, I am a competent player. I was curious so I joined a SoS Flare for AT Namielle. Seriously, within 4 minutes of me joining, the same person, with a Japanese named, carted 4 fucking times.
I will either be doing this solo or with friends. What a stupid waste of time.
wait, you lost by taking 50 mins? damn son, i've never even heard of that lol. at namielle shouldn't take you more than 15-25 mins
Only took me around 35 minutes and I wasn't trying to speed run and playing VERY defensively since his dive scares the shit out of me
Thats what I was saying. I timed out cause it fled more than it was on the ground.
My second attempt, I carted, because I didn't take it seriously and I had a two bad incidents where my Palico knocked my stunned body into a bad attack, killing me
3rd attempt was with that SoS flare that ended in under 7 minutes total.
And my 4th, wearing proper gear, managed to kill it in 32 minutes, solo. All I really did for that was put level 3 Blight Resistance and that shit was easy.
yeah not getting elemental/status blighted makes life a lot easier for every monster in this game. anything that's difficult i always make sure i either have 20 fire/water/thunder/ice/dragon resistance or maxed anti-blast/poison/bleed/sleep resistance. no real reason not to when you have access to 40 skills.
Namielle may be an exception because she has 2 elements, but generally speaking it's ALWAYS more useful to use elemental resist than blight resist, because you're immune to blights at 20, and elemental resist is a straight up modifier to what damage you take (ie 25 resist is 25% less damage from ELEMENTAL source), and you can always get to 20 points with 3 single pip decos and food.
The words in All Caps are what really made that statement the most helpful
Just wondering but what are peoples preferred method of Zenny Farming?
Selling Kulve Taroth parts.
If not just selling monster parts I have like 50+ of.
golden eggs from the steam game can make you huge bank if you're on 10x input
For future reference, what element is Val Hazak Miasma? I put on miasma gems for my set when I needed fangs for a new katana yesterday and I'm sure to be require more in the future the next time I make a rathian weapon.
Killed the variant legiana last night. that thing was a bitch to put down with dual blades.
no element. effluvia resistance is the only thing that will help you against vaal
Do the Resident Evil quest and get that gear set. I hate Vaal but that event quest is an absolute blast and the gear turns you into Claire or Leon from RE.
And yes, I know the gear set isn't that good. Its still fun
8 more VIP tickets to go, fffffffffff
Does anyone happen to know where the Trueshot +4 Jewel drops from? I want it and I'd gladly grind for it
Also, anyone wanna give me some advice on how to update my current "fun" armour set? Just keep in mind, a lot of the comfort skills are there as a safety net for random hand spasms I have thanks to chemo. But I'll take and try any advice given.
