Need is a pretty strong word lol.
Finally got some Great Spiritvein Gems. Still need a lot more, but got some.
I also got around to unlocking "We Run This Town", all I have left for Optionals is that, Lunastra x2, and the MR 150/175/200 Quests.
You're pretty much always going to need Great SVs sadly.
You greatly underestimate my ability to ignore changes in meta and keep using upgraded kulve armor.
Your R12 weapons will need them too.
Had a decent week in hunting. Accidentally killed a Rathian with a tranq bomb while it was falling into the trap. Upgraded a few of my weapons. Have an overload of random mantles I didn't want that I'm sure I can use later.
Spoiler: show
Namile was a disappointment since the icon made me expect a rainbow coloured squid monster and instead I got an ordinary dragon.
Killed what I'm guessing was the final boss (Mr Jazz Hands). He was much less troublesome once I changed from my dual blades to an Ice switchaxe and set my palico to healing.
I also killed it with a trip.
Spoiler: show
I've still got some basic stuff I need to unlock imo so I'm gonna turn back to my low rank quests and zerg through them. Some of my weapons are also at the point where all that handicraft on the set I worked towards making is useless. I wish there was a listing somewhere that told me how much handicraft i need to cap X weapon. I feel like Generations did a better job of showing how much handicraft to use when I looked up weapons online AND it involved less squinting to try and see if I can eek out a sliver more of handicraft.
I have it on videotape. It took me a moment to realize I had to carve it.
And you just made me pop my youtube cherry uploading this. Now I'm a content creator!
Look at the Tranq Bomb count in the corner. Blink and you miss it.
it was slain before you threw the tranq (your tranq inventory is still at 8 when the victory occurs). it must've been poisoned or one of the peeps threw a stone or something. also there was no damage number that popped up when you threw the tranq
Large monsters can't actually die from poison tics. The other people were pretty far away (too far to possibly hit it) with as you can see for a moment in the video. No random Palicos. Neither person claimed responsibility after the clip cut off. I've got no clue where any other source of damage could be.
large monsters can absolutely die to poison. like i said, the other two could've thrown a pod or used their grapple to kill it. i've killed so many mobs with my grapple or throwing a stone at this point it's kinda funny
tranq bombs dont do damage, so uh...
so apparently there's been a recent update that the tempered zinogre event quest gives more sealed feystones on completion. havent tried yet but it sounds like you get at least two sealed feystones every quest, which is really great
i haven't played in a few weeks, since there's been nothing to do, but i might farm that quest for a bit. sounds worthwhile
I haven't done much either except torture myself on Tempered Kushala Daora. I thought using a LBG would make the fight easier... LMAO!
i'd imagine sticky makes daora pretty easy, just like it makes everything else in this game easy
Yeah I beat him with Rajang's gun using Sticky 3s
According to the JP Monster Hunter Twitter account we'll get a new date for Update 4 soon
OOC for any MH Vets anything I should expect from Alatreon?
EDIT: Not sure if a repost but data leaks also show a possible new monsters: https://mhw.poedb.tw/eng/monster/Frozen%20Barioth
New date is early July 2020
hopefully alatreon doesn't suck 'cause i've been wholly disappointed in iceborne compared to the base game
