Back in tri, alatreon was primarily killed by sleep bombing (to break horns) or Lance because evade+ etc made it a poke joke.

As a hammer main even I ended up lbg killing him cuz he used to just run around and aoe non fuckin stop and I'd be lucky to get the first horn break in a group.

Every weapon has access to 200 hp, 40% activation of 60% damage reduction (divine blessing secret), unlimited healing potions, all while still having every offensive skill in the game worth having maxed (critical eye, critical boost, agitator secret, and weakness exploit). Defense isn't an issue in Iceborne.

I tried Kulve Taroth master rank once I finally got materials for regen augments and it raped me. I can't see myself fighting aletron and winning with 5 piece Safi and regen augs. Hopefully I should be able to manage something once I can manage to cut gold rathian's goddamn tail off for the waist armour. I join the SOS flares to save time since she's an annoying little shit but I don't think any of the groups really give a damn about partbreaking.

Just tell the group you'd like to cut the tail. Gold and Silver have HP locks on the tails and the tails themselves have a ton of health, so you'll never get it unless you have multiple people in a SOS going for it.

So are bounties the best way to get zenny or are there alternatives such as steamworks? Farmed the Tempered Ruiner event for some Great Spiritveins now I'm low on money to upgrade my gear.

Honestly? Best way to get zenny is sell monster parts. Keep 5-10 of each part in case you need and sell the rest. KT will give you more zenny then you will ever need. I'm at something like 13m.

Now it's just farming king spheres in the grinding lands

Question: If I want tier 2 jewels like Normal/Spread/Piercing Shot decos is farming HR ranked tempered better than anything significantly low in MR?

Most likely yes. If for no other reason the speed in which you can clear HR monsters with MR gear.

I think you can still do either The Greatest Jagras or My Name's Lavasioth high rank event quests for tons of lower decorations. Should be pretty easy in master rank gear too.

edit: Steamworks tickets can also be traded in for lots of decorations at the melder too. If you have lots of fuel to spend on it.

Thanks I'll have to do look some more into it. Got my Piercing/Spread/Normal Safi HBGs ready so now I'm trying to gear up with decos and raging/furious gear.
