there are nfl players that have played entire seasons with guillain-barre syndrome, a medical condition that can randomly paralyze your entire body in the middle of a play or game. the nfl and player association will have all their players sign a waiver for this and then lock all the players up in hotels for the season to not spread it to the general populous

The NFL season is happening and anyone that thinks for a second otherwise is insane. Sign some waivers, agree on an acceptable game-day temperate to play, hotels are desperate for reservations, and get on with it.

The only questions left are whether preseason will happen, if the schedule is pushed back a couple of weeks, and if or how many fans can enter.

And college play is even more obvious. The big-time football programs fund their entire university. Without college football, there isn't any college baseball or any women's sports period. Only *some* basketball programs make any profit at all. Faculty unrelated to sports would lose their jobs. Small universities rely on the big ones to give them paychecks, for the same things, by traveling to their stadiums and playing.
