Not at all. That isn't the quote that was going around Twitter at first. So he either followed up to make himself not look stupid or had similar statements to multiple outlets. I don't see anything wrong with the above quote, but it wasn't the full quote being posted by all NFL outlets this morning. In the original, he immediately followed that sentence with a statement on the Saints, so it isn't close.

Dude's had multiple days to word his statement very carefully and still came off sounding like a dismissive asshole. This has nothing to do with politics or right wingers doing anything. It has to do with people being hypocritical as fuck.
