The people that are done having Corona virus are either dead or recovered, so:
2800/38800 ~= 7%

It is an upper bound because people obviously die before they recover, but the mortality rate is somewhere between (n_dead / (n_recovered + n_dead + n_still_infected)) and (n_dead / (n_recovered + n_dead))

So that range is more like 2-7%, at least as far as I can see.

I feel like using disease prevalence is a little unfair but I can accept it as an upper bound.

A student from Jackson High School in Mill Creek with no travel history is one of the people infected with the COVID-19 virus. The student started feeling ill Monday with body aches, chills and a headache, the department said. Health officials said the student returned to school when he started feeling better, before results Friday revealed the child was sick with coronavirus.

One of my supervisors gives people shit when they call in sick or request a day. A little over a year ago he had a stroke and was in the hospital for a few days. He came back to work against doctor’s orders the day he was released from the hospital. He’s just that type that lives to work and has no patience for people that don’t share that attitude.

This is what my boss (company owner) did to me when I was had the flu a few years back. Considering they knew I never called out, it's always stuck in my mind as proof they don't give a shit about their employees no matter how much they might make us think they do. They only care until it inconveniences them.

I’m so incredibly grateful for my current boss. He’s really religious but actually practices what he preaches. Family first is his mantra always and I’m fully confident I could call him right now and just tell him I can’t come in for a week die to family issues and he would not only say of course but probably also see if he could do anything to help.

What a surprise that I gladly go above and beyond in my role and would gladly work overtime on the off chance he asked.

When my dad passed away my boss tried to make me use my vacation time. I lol'd in his face and went straight to HR

A huge proportion of American workers simply don’t have the economic power to stay home, whether to care for family members or even to give themselves a chance to recover from a viral infection in solitude, or the legal right to take off from work without losing their jobs or pay.

Millions of Americans, moreover, don’t have access to healthcare without shouldering significant bills. That will keep many people out of doctors’ offices or even emergency rooms where they might be screened for the novel coronavirus.

Put simply, the consequences of America’s working culture and its fragmented, overpriced healthcare system may hit home in a major way.

About a quarter of all American workers have no right to sick leave, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In service industries — where employees must report to their places of employment to work and are most likely to come in contact with the public — more than half have no sick leave.

Obstacles like these are bound to keep people from seeking treatment, even if they suspect they’ve contracted COVID-19. Government officials haven’t appeared to get the message that the American system itself may be a threat to public health if COVID-19 takes root within our borders.

Fuck if you have the PTO or sick time, why the fuck do you need a doctor's note. My work does this and if I have the flu, I won't even bother with the note because I'm not going to spend the time and money go to to the hospital for some doctor to tell me "Get rest, have plenty of fluids, etc."
