I enjoyed it. The dungeon itself was pretty fun and I loved the story to it. Got some some level VIII materia out of it too.

Anything else I should be worried about and need to knock out now? Seems like Twinning was somehow a missable?

There was another post 5.0 dungeon, Amanesis Anyder I think. Starts in Kholusia.

You should also start the Eden raid series which I believe starts in Amh Areang. For the storyline to make sense you’ll want to knock out Eden’s first tier, then do MSQ through 5.2, then the second tier of Eden, then 5.3 MSQ, then the final tier of Eden or 5.4 MSQ can be done whatever order you wish.

The NieR 24 man raid series should also unlock now in Kholusia but I think there are some side quests with the dwarves there that are prerequisites so it might not be obvious.

I think you can start the Bozjan Southern Front quests (relic weapons) after finishing the 5.1 story. Even if you decide not to make a weapon you should still unlock it because it opens up new raids and opens up an area where you can level jobs from 71-80 super fast. And it is a continuation of the Ivalice raid storylines from Stormblood.

Even the throwback summon in the first fight was fucking awesome.

What gear score should I be aiming for? Currently got my GNB and RDM at 503/502. My BRD is on the back burner for the moment.

510 is the current baseline, from crafted gear or doing the last tier of Eden (Normal). (Or Delubrum Reginae.)
520 is Cryptlurker gear from Revelation Tomestones. But at 450 a week, gonna take a while to finish a set.
530 is from the last tier of Eden (Savage), either direct drops, or upgrading Cryptlurker gear.

In the next patch, you will be able to get a token once a week from the 3rd Nier raid (which combined with the tokens from the first two tiers) will let you get the item to upgrade a piece of Cryptlurker gear to 530.
The Nier raid will also direct drop 520 gear. And they add a system that lets you upgrade crafted gear to 520.

You’re fine for everything right now except Eden Savage. I think that’s 510 minimum to start.

Probably a dumb question but how do I know whenever I finished 5.X story? Just finished the first tier of Eden and would like to follow this recommendation.

You’ll get an achievement when you finish the MSQ of the patch cycle. Achievement names in spoiler box. They are pretty vague but juuuust incase you don’t wanna know ahead of time.
