Done with 2.5, one more patch and it's on to Heavensward, but also holy shit I still have so much ARR content left. Extreme Ramuh and Shiva, the Second and Final Coils, gonna see if I have the patience to do a relic upgrade, and the Hildebrandt quests. Seriously thinking I'm just gonna run back and forth until there aren't any quests left to do in the starting nations, maybe get a few more jobs up between 50-60.
Is there a quick way to level DoL jobs?

I hope you have better luck than me with extremes. I'm kinda in the same boat as you with the end of heavensword trying to clean up extremes and one of them which I won't mention for potential spoiler reasons is such a damn roadblock. I ended up skipping it and moving in with my life.Spoiler: show
Highly recommended the Hildebrand stuff. What a hilariously good quest line. Comedy gold from beginning to end
Like Anoat said, Ishgard restoration, it covers gatherers and crafters.
Besides that though.
Just doing daily Grand Company turn ins, daily crafting beast tribe quests (idk about Heavensward, but in Stormblood, they made the quest dynamic on if you had a craft or gather job up), daily gather levequests, and weekly custom deliveries.
With the beast tribe, levequests, and custom deliveries though, you have to choose if you want to use the limited resource on craft or gather.
For fishing, level it up the normal way to 20 and you can unlock ocean fishing in Limsa Lominsa, it’s basically a fishing raid that happens every 2 hours and lasts about 25 minutes. You will FLY through the levels here.
For botany/mining, I actually don’t recommend Ishgard restoration. There is SOME merit to this. You will be gathering materials that you can use to level your DoH jobs so you will save some money, but for a pure quick xp grind it’s not going to be the most effective. The best way is to use gathering levequests, and pair them with the XP boost items you get with grand company seals. Also do your GC daily turn in and beast tribes. Each expansion has a level appropriate beast tribe for crafting/gathering (Heavensward 50-60, Stormblood 61-70, Shadowbringers 71-80) and the XP will drop dramatically once you put level their ranges. Also, once you complete Heavensward MSQ you will unlock delivery quests which are weekly turn in quests for HUGE xp gain, but they are weekly so you do get capped on how many you can do every week. Each expansion has two delivery quest NPCs. And don’t sleep on doing the job story quests, they are a nice chunk of xp. Unlocking flying in the new zones first will also greatly speed up your botany/mining leveling.
Basically things are much easier if you get through the MSQ on your combat jobs first as you’ll have many more options.
The Hildibrant stuff is so good. Genuinely great comedic storytelling. That fuckin zombie payoff from the very first quest line, damn
Did Ultros + Typhon and Gilgamesh + Enkidu last night. Seems like they set up him reappearing in the expansions.
Beat Shiva EX too, only one Dungeon left in ARR.

Holy shit leves level up DoL jobs like crazy.
Man I'm almost done with stomblood and I'm having such a hard time choosing what I want to main through shadowbringers and into EW. I got DRG/MCH/BRD/SMN to choose from and it's a toss up. Might just say fuck it and play Sage when I can and do that instead.
I feel like with people swarming to reaper and sage I'll be better off doing mch/brd/smn though.
Is mch actually bad at cap/endgame or is it just not a min/max job? Same with brd I guess?
There are no bad or meta jobs, every job is balanced. Play whatever you like.
Ranged DPS (MCH/BRD/DNC) tend to be easier to play though just cause they don’t have to deal with either positionals or MP resource management.
There’s gonna be a ton of people playing Reaper and Sage on Endwalker launch so this would be a really good time to level a tank job.
Yeah I want to level warrior but it's only in 30s and I don't have the time to level when I got MSQ to do. I won't finish msq before EW hits anyway, so I figured I'd just level one of those since they are all 68-70ish. I have fun on drg but haven't given the others a chance in forever, plus the changes I haven't really looked into (other than smn looking crazy). Easier is my style though thanks for the tip there.
Gunbreaker starts at level 60 when you unlock if you want to give that a try. It’s my favorite tank to play presently.
I did the last trial where you fight the dragon marching forward but MSQ progress has stalled pretty hard. Been spending days just leveling DoL/DoH jobs, they make it so addictive. Plus leve EXP for these is ridiculous.

You are really close to Heavensward then, that’s the last trial of ARR. Heads up, when you go to Ul’Dah and the game warns you that you are about to watch a long cutscene and make sure you have time for it—it’s not exaggerating. It’s about 45 minutes or so.
I decided to roll through Storm/bringers and through EW on MCH. The rotation is a ton easier, less to manage, less buttons so I can configure controller better, also I'm retarded so it's perfect.
I couldn't come close to the DPS or getting the rotation right on brd or smn with only a few minutes of practice, so I'll come back to smn after the EW changes.
I haven't played DRK yet but I do appreciate how WAR, PLD, and GNB all play basically the same in terms of hate management.

Some ideas that might help you. Keep in mind this is all based on Shadowbringers so it may change once Endwalker launches.
RIP Endwalker release delayed two weeks
You got more time to catch up
