i think theres a difference, it just isn't vast.
once you can cover life expenses without worrying about paycheck -> paycheck (which happened to me around 50k, adjust numbers based on where you live if needed) i don't think happiness increases to the point where its worth giving up something good.
basically Toki has capped happiness
i wish i had marketable skills to move somewhere else
So for whosever’s read the new free money bill, it’s basically the same except for slashed UI benefits and a shiny new FBI building?
the UI flat bonus would be changed to $200/week until October when supposedly state systems will begin to distribute 70% of one's previous pay
i'm sure there's more details to unpack but probably none as savory as the $2 billion FBI HQ
congress doesn't give a single fuck about their constituents lmao
both republicans and democrats fill their bills with the same shit and they all vote to pass the garbage hoping no one will read 1800 pages
we should pass a law that the bills can only be about the topic at hand, but it would probably get filled with bullshit too lol
truth
Did they vote on this bill? I thought this was the senate republican bill, and now they do their song and dance and negotiate. Still a shit bill overall, reallllyyyyy curious to see how the eviction thing goes cause thats been on moratorium for like...nearly half a year at this point?

Rs lowballing and will negotiate up in exchange for all those gimmes they asked for. My bet is $350-400/week but a shitton of "money for states" whatever that means

Sounds like the military spending is money that Trump took to build the wall, and is now being replaced
Capped happiness for me would be living in a moderate 3-4 bedroom, 2-3 bath, mortgage paid. I'll get there, though. Not worried about it at this point. Just a matter of time.
Fix this house up, sell for more than we bought it for, move the earnings into the next house which will hopefully be more along the lines of what I said above.
I like the area I live in, new job is pretty chill, probably won't have any more kids. My boss has been with this company for 30 years. Found out he's an Ass. VP of our division (it's multinational $6B company) and can open the doors for me. Has already told me as recently as yesterday he plans to market me for the next job a tier higher (Assistant Resident versus Senior Inspector) and sponsor me for my state licensure.
Now imagine how much fun you'd be having with 0 kids
