First day back at work from vacation. Stress levels through the roof just sitting at my office desk at 5:45am. The Rona is spreading through this facility like a wildfire now with 8 people popping hot over the past 2 weeks. We have about 225 allowed on site split into 3 zones so it's a significant number of infections. My zone probably has the brunt of it with 5 of the cases over a smaller amount of people.

Yes but there are still idiots everywhere. If one of the guys who is lax is absent, then I'll smh since he sits in the middle of a highly trafficked area and uses the excuse of "I'm drinking coffee" to not wear one for an extended period of time.

My company CEO is visiting my office next week. Our GM sent out an email this afternoon telling us all to be ready to meet him for happy hour at 4:30 at a local bar. The fuck? Uh, no.

To add to the fun two of my co-workers tested positive yesterday so the entire office had to get tested today. Mine came back negative so big sigh of relief but I been feeling not great since last night so I might go get tested again this week if I still don’t feel good.

the incubation period between exposure and infection make this whole thing so damn complicated. the fact your test can come back negative but you can still have the virus is friggin rough

Yeah my dad tested positive with the rapid and my step mom negative, but then she tested positive with the standard test.

Can't trust the rapid. If you had direct exposure play it safe.

Had a scare today when I couldn’t taste my sweet tea and thought I had caught the ‘rona inbetween breakfast and lunch but it turns out they accidentally gave me unsweet tea. Probably the only time in my life I’ve been relieved to get unsweet tea.

One of my best friends is getting married this spring and now I'm due to travel to three different states in consecutive months. (April May June)

They don't give a fuck about Covid, about like the average Kansan I suppose, but it still feels a bit reckless.

On the other hand, I'm keen on some time off work, and the lake house rental ought to be a good time.
