I can't remember which state it was, believe it was Tenn., but they straight up relaxed their laws on when and where you can buy alcohol.
The local brewery near me is doing beer deliveries 7 days a week now. They used to only be open TH-SU. Pretty great time we're living in, other than the people getting sick all over the world and dying thing.
originally in this thread i said a 4, i'm like a 2 on the panic scale now.
feel like i'm the only one who isn't getting more freaked out
hey i went from -2 to 1 so while your derivative is negative i'm still lower than you punk
however it seems i will pass you soon
they keep talking about "community transmission" in NC as in someone got it who wasn't in contact with someone tested positive or haven't traveled but i have to ask how the tf they could possibly know, i mean obviously they came in contact with it, i dont understand what that means, seems like most everyone testing positive wouldn't be sure where they got it?
it means people are getting it from carriers that weren't showing symptoms, or in other words, they don't know where the hell it came from
When they say they're sure, they just mean it's likely that's how it happened. If you, or anyone in the house, havent traveled internationally, and dont work with anyone who has traveled in the past month, but you're positive, then it's being transmitted in the community.

yeah "community transmission" is more or less the "I dunno how/when I got it" and the people with positive tests and damning itineraries are the flipside
i see... i guess thats what i thought but they talk about it like its some scarier form of the virus
The more I think about it, the more I wonder if my household had it a week or two ago. Wifey was crazy ill for a few days. Son was puking and had diarrhea afterwards. I was basically incapacitated a whole day and was a zombie the next day after they were both fine. I had just chalked it up to food poisoning from some shitty pho place in DC.
Its "scarier" cause if those cases didnt exist, you could just isolate all the travelers for 2 weeks and be done with this. Endemic community spread means the entire community has to participate otherwise no measures will work; itll just slowly spread from citizen to citizen over time without drastic measures (like now), or ignoring it mostly (like the common cold).
