received an email today informing me a student’s parent has covid

also, schools have to be completely fucked i imagine. I’ve been getting emails saying that many students across all classes have disappeared (not showing up to any online sessions, submitting work, checking in); administration is trying to figure out what to do about grading. hearing there might be a no-fail policy put in, students can get NCs, INCs, some special grade designation about covid to allow a retake without paying...no one knows what to do

i really hope they don’t make us give INCs, as that means I’ll be grading throughout the summer, though i guess it works out since im basically doing half the work now
